Helping Vulnerable Populations in the U.S.
As is the case with many disasters, the most vulnerable populations are likely to be most affected by COVID-19. Much of this response will take place at a local level, so check in with your favorite local organizations and ask about addressing any anticipated gaps. Additionally, look to national safety net organizations with local chapters helping people near you.

Strengthening the Capacity of Nonprofits
At the same time, nonprofit organizations of all stripes need your support as well. Many nonprofits are having to cancel many of their usual programs and fundraising events out of concern for public safety. Yet these programs and events are often how nonprofits survive. Most organizations have limited financial reserves and these lean times will hit them hard. Sustaining your support at your usual levels or increasing it will help your favorite nonprofit organizations get through the crisis and continue its important work.
